Members of the SS who worked in the "Abteilung SS-Standortarzt" (SS Garrison Physician's Department) as medical orderlies were known as "SanitÃĪtsdienstgrade" (SDG). In the prisoner infirmaries, SS camp physicians were in charge of the SDGs.
